Next meeting – online: 30th August, 2 – 3:30 pm (CEST, Brussels Time)
There will be two stimulating presentation:
First, Patient Ciza of Liège and Kinshasa University will present the work of his group on “Applications of vibrational spectroscopy and imaging for the analysis of substandard or falsified (SF) medicines“. For some of us, this will be an opportunity to learn about technical aspects of the detection of SF medicines, while for others it will be an opportunity of peer exchange on these technologies, and on respective findings in different countries.
Then, Raffaella Ravinetto will briefly introduce the publication co-authored with Cécile Macé and Lembit Rago, How the concept of WHO-listed authorities will change international procurement policies for medicines (available at: How the concept of WHO-listed authorities will change international procurement policies for medicines | BMJ Global Health), and will chair a debate on how the WHO bench-marking of national regulatory authorities will impact national (and international?) procurement strategies of humanitarian and development actors.
