Restitution survey on the impact of the US Foreign Aid administration
18/03 - 18/03/2025

Dear members of Be-cause health,

In light of recent decisions made by the Trump administration—including reductions in international aid, PEPFAR cuts, withdrawal from the WHO, and the uncertain future of USAID—we recognize that these developments may impact the activities and operations of various organizations globally. This impact may be direct, through changes in funding, or indirect, due to the interdependence of organizations working in the field.

U.S. funding has played a crucial role over the years in many LMICs, supporting key components of health systems—such as contributing to health workers’ salaries, financing health management information systems, and distributing health commodities, among others. Your insights will be invaluable in helping us understand the broader implications and in informing DGD. Understanding that this situation could evolve over time, we would like to collect this information by 25 February 5 pm CET with a survey.

👉 Please, complete this survey via this form.

We know that we are in a changing reality, and therefore we invite the members to contact us even after the deadline, if there are new events happening that they want to share. We also invite you to directly share your experiences during the restitution meeting on the survey on March 18th, from 9:30 to 11:30 (CET) at Enabel, rue Haute – Hoogstraat 147, 1000 Brussels and online.
