Description
The coronavirus pandemic has now infected more than 26,000 people in India even as the nation extended the world’s strictest complete lockdown to combat spreading of the highly contagious pathogen.
What is the current situation of the spread of COVID-19 in India? How is India organising Primary health care preparedness in order respond to the COVID-19 epidemic? Which are the inequitable effects of the lockdown? Which are the main challenges the country is facing in the fight against COVID-19? These questions will be discussed by ITM alumnus Dr Prashanth N S (MPH 2008 and PhD 2015), involved in the Corona-outbreak in India as a steering member of the COVID-19 Primary Health Care Action Group and involved in preparing checklists and resources for improving PHC preparedness in India.
