Tonga Calvin
Biologist / Nurse, Cameroon - Master in Public Health, Institute of Tropical Medicine
Tonga Calvin is a 41 years old biologist and trained nurse with over 15 years of experience in public health activities at various levels of the health system in Cameroon. He mostly worked in the fields of immunisation and mother and child health and in recent years, he has been charged with planning, monitoring and evaluation activities at the national immunisation programme. His research focus has been on malaria in pregnant women and new-borns, but extends to neglected tropical diseases epidemiology and control. He is presently doing a Master in Public Health at ITM Antwerp to build his knowledge and skills in the fields of health systems and disease control.
