Rhoda Dalang

Rhoda Dalang is the executive director of the Center for Development Programs in the Cordillera (CDPC), the Philippines, with a health program attached to the Community Health Education, Services and Training in the Cordillera Region (CHESTCORE). For almost 4 decades, she had been serving various functions such as community organizer, program coordinator and executive director in various organizations largely with the Cordillera People’s Alliance, Cordillera Indigenous Peoples’ Legal Center, Regional Ecumenical Council in the Cordillera, all advocating for the advancement of human rights and Indigenous Peoples Rights. She made a particular contribution in the application and enrichment of the human rights based approach to development, applied to Indigenous Peoples which encompasses the human rights based approach to health. She has a Bachelor Degree of Science in Agriculture and a Master of Arts fellowship in Social and Development Studies in the University of the Philippines.
