Speaker: Joost Van Wijchen is a senior lecturer, educational designer, physiotherapist and departmental leader at the Western Norway University of Applied Science in Bergen, Norway. He is an executive board member of the Environmental Physiotherapy Association (EPA). Professional and research interests include learning, diversity, ecosystems, global health, reasoning and technology. His current projects include Health Equity through Education for a sustainable future (HEQED), Critical Emancipative Learning, Joyful complex and comfortable uncertain! (CEL), Person with a Refugee Experience Project- Interprofessional  Project (PREP),  and Enhancing Complexity Orientated Learning Approaches in Health (ECOLAH)

Abstract: During this session, we will share short stories of the physiotherapy profession concerning a journey to bring planetary health into action. During this session, Joost will share thoughts and actions from the Environmental Physiotherapy Association (http://environmentalphysio.com/ ) as example. A central part of the conversation how to move on in expanding our notion on health and bringing planetary health in action.
