‘Morocco: An exemplary model in SRHR: Maternal and Child Health – Insights from an activist researcher’

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, this ITM alumni webinar will focus on PhD alumna Bouchra Assarag’s expertise in the field of maternal, neonatal, child and adolescent health, and her active engagement in the fight for sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR). As an expert in sexual and reproductive health rights, Bouchra is an active member of national and international civil associations in the field of SRHR. She is president of the association Together for Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (EDSSR).
Bouchra will talk about her research findings in the field of SRHR-studies in Morocco. She will share her insights on the Sexual and Reproductive Health situation in Morocco and on strengthening women’s and children’s rights to access quality healthcare. She will testify about the importance of the work done by national and international civil associations and NGOs in the field of SRHR. Current barriers, challenges and way forward will also be addressed during the talk.
The Q&A-session will be moderated by Lenka Beňová, Professor and Head of ITM’s Reproductive and Maternal Health Unit.
